Week 4: research-based student-centered strategies | TSL 550
As an ELL specialist, an important role in your school community may involve serving as a resource to other teachers who work with ELLs in acquiring language and content but may lack experience or expertise.
Create a one-page infographic for grade-level or content-area teachers that provides research-based strategies for the instruction of ELLs. Include the following in your infographic:
- At least eight scaffolding strategies that ensure access to a rigorous grade-level curriculum. Include scaffolding strategies related to materials and resources, instructional practices, and student grouping.
- At least three strategies promoting student-centered learning and student choice for ELLs.
- Visuals or graphics that are relevant to the content, visually appealing, and use space appropriately.
Support your infographic with a minimum of three scholarly resources.
